TJ - I am undertaking a major site update and plan on adding the X88 option cars. What were the last 6 VIN digits of your car?

Ok thanks - I'll take a look. I now have all the data for all VIN's which have the X88 option engine - which are not 'Turbo S' cars (no '36S' option). There are 51 including 13 RHD.

All 1994 Turbo S cars were '36S' option. So any of those VIN's will show that code - here is one http://www.manhattanmotorcars.com/vehicle.asp?v=935967

Working on the other thing ....

I don't believe that the black NZ car on your site is an X88 optioned car. Do you have the VIN's for these 'X88' cars (aside from yours)?

1. There are no black RHD X88 optioned cars (black metallic but not black)
2. There are no RHD X88 optioned cars with the option code X09 leather extended centre console or option code S6B cellular phone console black - which this car has.
3. There are no RHD X88 optioned cars with a 'Z' option for seat piping - which this car has.

Any ideas?

The car with Vin WPOZZZ96ZRS470367 was mentioned in an earlier thread on this forum as Metallic Black.

RS470367 does indeed have X88 & X26 - i have a copy of verification from Porsche
RS470393 is black metallic with X88
PS470622 is the LHD wimbledon green X88
interior colour for 470304 is cobalt blue
Mark do you have info on all the Brunei cars ; if not i may be able to get more.

I have only just begun to assemble data on this series of cars so anything you can provide would be most helpful.

By the end of this coming weekend I should have all the X88 optioned car's data up on the revised website. However, I have very few photos of verified X88 cars.

Here is the data that I try to collect that I cannot get from Porsche directly:

1. Photos
2. Current country location
3. Copy of retail or dealer invoice
4. Original purchase price/currency
5. Name of Porsche dealer through which the car was originally ordered

TIA - Mark

The interior color in this photo is cobalt blue - so yours is this same color? From photos I have of your interior it is hard to tell.

Nice!! wish it were her and had the steering wheel on the correct side LOL

I am not so sure of the 142 miles though something is not right. Could be the pictures but it looks a little rough. Also the fan in the engine is the wrong color what is that about?

Otherwise the ultimate Porsche except maybe a 3.8RS in cobalt blue to go with it.

From Porsche data here is what I have on these VIN's:

1. 470367 is black metallic and black leather interior and has X26 and X88, but does not have any of the available option codes for the cellular phone console or extended leather center console - which the NZ photo car clearly has installed.

2. 470393 is black metallic but has a cobalt blue interior - which the NZ photo car clearly does not have.

3. 470622 is not a turbo VIN so cannot have the X88 option.
