Default Uk-Sold

This Uk-Sold righthand drive car is really great looking, Polar silver with Flamenco red interior. I beleve it's car 084.

This one was part of a collection in the UK that had at least 4 specced very similarly specced 964’s with Amethyst wheels, gold brake calipers, and red interiors. Two of these are Turbo S Lightweights and the others RSR 3.8’s. All have extremely low mileage.

I assume Sultan of Brunei? I’ve seen a photo in one of his garages with a big section of yellow 964’s and 993’s. Think all his Porsche’s are RHD.

It is interesting that this car sold for considerably more in 18 than it did recently.

The white one that was part of this same collection. Heard there were 4 Turbo S Lightweights part of this collection, but have yet to see the 4th one.

Hi! I have 13 Polar Silber registered...
Do you have the chassis numbers linked to the different colours?
I can also see that you have Sulfur Yellow, can this be the same as Schweffgelb/Lime Yellow? Chassis no 479018?

Hi!

I'm quite sure it's only 12 Polar silver met, The Sulfur yellow is probably not the original color, it's Speed yellow from the begining i think. It's always difficult when they repaint the cars to know the original color.

There are many delivery mile Porsche's out there lately. I know of a few including a special 993RSR with only 12km and is street registrable. It is sad not to see them driven but the one owner car maintains and runs the car at regular intervals. There is some collector out there that must have it I am sure. Many old timers who purchased these new as part of their collection are starting to liquidate them as they get up in years. They know the family won't do the collection justice when time to sell so they are showing up occasionally as they liquidate their holdings. Many will make good money on them for not driving them. Everyone has their uses for these cars some drive some like to just to say they own them.

Does any one know the original delivery countries for the all cars?
I've got these: Germany 11 (could be up to 40 cars and more)
United Kingdom 6
Japan 3
Brunei 3
South Africa 2
Dubai 1
Saudi Arabia 1
Hong Kong 2
Switzerland 1
Italy 2
Belgium 1
Thailand 2
France 1

Interesting point about older owners liquidating these delivery mile cars. I try not to judge people's motivations for owning cool cars - whether it be washing every weekend and looking at it, tracking it, or whatever. But when it comes down to it, I really have no respect for just owning them to own them and not using them.

I do not use my turbo nearly enough lately. Most all of my miles were done in the first few years. My attention is always shifting and when I buy new it is focused on that. The GT4 is getting a lot of attention now. Seems to be the case with many of these collectors. This owner has a massive collection and he spends more time driving his others which are more street friendly. I do agree but it is cool seeing a delivery mile car and how they came from the factory.

Found this interesting video from 1996 of the white and silver RHD cars above. Think this is when they just arrived from the factory. Apparently the 964 RSR’s that are very similar to these were delivered in March of 1996 as they took years to build. So wouldn’t surprise me if these were delivered in 1996 as well. Video says it’s June of 1996. These are model year 1993 cars.

Seems like they finished a lot at once. IIRC Bob's one off America GS was delivered in 96 as well. I know his last turbo cab with the longest option list ever was delivered many years after being ordered.

There were 3 in total. I liked the midnight blue the best. These pics were from 2012. The white and blue ones had a darker red interior vs the silver and RSR's.

The midnight blue version.
