Default exhaust tips

Hi,

I was wondering have any of the guys got round tips like the rsr 3.8 on their cars as I would like a set for mine and can you recommend where to get them from.
My mate with a 993 bought some from the states and the price was really good but he cannot find the reciept or remember the supplier.(my luck)

Thanks in advance ,

Gaz

I'm not aware of any round tips that are available off-the-shelf. Fabspeed makes a nice oval tip set but that's not what your looking for.
You may have to buy round tips from Summit Racing and have a fabricator shorten them.

We're just a little slow this weekend

I have the cup exhaust tip on my 964RSA (which is round). I purchased it from AP Car Design in Germany. Not sure whether that fits the bypass side on the turbo.

Default exhausting effort

Thanks,

I have gone to the effort of making my rubystone car look rsr'ish so the oval tips don't look right to me at the back end anymore.
I thought I was sent to Coventry because I have been only posting about my 964 targa last couple of months.
The targa's going in the garage now and I want to use the turbo for the next three months so will be a turbo guy again.

Not sure what you mean by RSR round tips AFAIK the RS 3.8 and RSR both came with stock tips the Turbo S's came with dual round tips.

I am attaching some pics of an RS and RSR and both show oval tips.

I have dual round tips on my turbo. these are available through Techart or Cargraphic. Quite expensive though.

Cobalt,

You are the font of all knowledge, I am wrong yet again! I have seen some rsr's with say just round large tips maybe 50mm or so.
I have now looked back through my own collection of mags and photo's and my tips are oe for the rsr.
I do fancy some large round one's though, my mate bought some dansk one's for his car but I thought the guy's on here would point me in the direction of what they had and some rear view turbo car **** pictures for us all to admire.

Thanks for your help,

Gaz

You didn't ask for that.
My car came with Fabspeed tips, which were very poorly made and way out of proportion. When I installed the M & K headers I took stock tips and stripped the flat black paint off of them and had them polished. I had to redesign them to work with my new system.
I've always liked the look of polished stock tips as Porsche styled them to work with the car styling.
I've seen other Turbos with big, round tips; too rice for my tastes.

LOL

I actually use the Dansk tip on my C2. Large tip makes great sound for the track. I know fabspeed used to make a round tip although I don't see it on their site.

here are some pics for you the first 2 have some version of round tip the black car was a car I almost purchased back in 202 IIRC this is sporting a complete B&B exhaust somewhat oval but nice. The last 2 are my C2 although it is hard to tell in the pictures the Dansk tip is not as massive as you might think. 4" round but fits nicely.

Nah,

Not after supra(ricer) tips guys just something in proportion to the cut out in the factory standard bumpers.
Quality and function before vanity so they must not affect the performance of the car,but tips cannot cause problems as there just the fancy bits at the end of the exhaust? aren't they?
Oh and I am asking, please post a picture if you have one as I do love admiring everyones cars on here.

Thank you all

Cobalt,

That blue car has what I want, and did you know that car was for sale when I bought my rubystone car.
I bought the rubystone car because it had lower miles and had black tripple leather, as the blue car had the 70's porno sort of cream interior.(not my taste)(sorry cream interior people)
But looking back I should have bought it ,as when I was also offered a turbo s for £45k oh well that's life and I am lucky to have the ones I have.

Ok Some pics of my Strosek tips that came with the car. They are 3.5" wide and 4.2" tall...but no longer available unless you can find an Ebay set. They look better in person than the pics. First pic they dirty at the Sellers place.

I believe the Maritime car has/had a Hayward and Scott system on it, so you may want to contact them about round tips - sales@haywardandscott.co.uk.
