Default Ignition Control Unit a goner

My 3.3 turbo gave up on me the other day. After a week of diagnosing, my mechanic told me the ignition control unit was a goner. Now, Porsche has stopped production, as has Bosch, and the part is not repairable. I have checked many breakers, OEMs etc but to no avail. Does anyone have a spare or know where I can get one? Please help

If you can't find a replacement, i'd look at converting to EFI. Totally transforms the car, not exactly cheap mind. Or you could use the ecu to just controll the ignition until you want to go whole-hog... Both will require outside assistance.

If you are talking about the 6 pin Bosch CDI unit like on the 930, then I have a new one in it's original box. They were about £1400 new, what would you give for it? I'd need to know where you are to work out what postage would be
I had a second hand one also, but that has sold

He needs an EZ 69 unit.
Start calling salvage yards like Parts Heaven or 20th Street.

The company Fritz mentioned can repair your stock unit if you send it to them, check their website.

Other option is a ignition blaster with programable ignition curve. Not used one myself, but Demon Tweaks have them for £150 or so....

Mine went to , I think and I converted it to a programmable ignition unit and kept the fuel the same.

You have to change the flywheel tho- so I went lightweight...
