Default Ride height??

I would like to go with Euro ride height on my car. Where exactly are you supposed to measure the ride height?? Fender to tire, ground to top of fender?? Adrians book gives values in mm's but i couldnt find where it said to measure it.

Ride height is measured at the front from the front crossmember mounting bolt head to the ground and at the rear from a cast boss near the body pivot on the trailing arm to the ground.
Euro ride height still leaves a lot of space between the tire to and the wheel arch. I have my car set at RS ride height. I wouldn't recommend going any lower than that as suspension travel and bump steer make for a harsh, darty ride.

Euro ride height is: Front 165 mm, rear 270 mm
RS ride height is: Front 125 mm, rear 218 mm

Wow thats a big difference in height Paul. I have a Porsche brocure from the early 90's that has a black turbo in it and im assuming its a euro car because it has the side reflectors, anyhow its exactly how i want my car to sit. Ill try and scan it and post it.

Crap hally i didnt even think to look in the manual, i must be losing it.

Thanks guys.

Ok i went and measured my right rear and im at 239 mm. The fronts i cant even measure because its sitting so low. So let me ask this.....if i need ride height to come up 30 mm's do i adjust the spring up 30mm's or is the relationship non-linear??

This is the photo of i believe a Euro version, sorry for the crappy scan but you get the idea.

Metalguru....offtopic.

Do you have additional PICS of your car that I can view......really can't seem to get enough of it and I'm waffling between a 930 and 964.

Thanks

It looks like the 1991/92 European Porsche 911 sales brochure - I have a UK copy of it which I picked up off eBay.
