Default Oil Pressure sender

Hi guys has anyone ever replaced their oil pressure sender on the top front half of engine?? Should i go ahead and do this since i have the engine out??? Mine is working fine but its pretty old.
If you have removed it can you give me some advice?? It looks like it would be difficult to unscrew (cant get a wrench in there??)

You will need a 19mm crows foot and a 3/8 drive wobble extension in order to clear the sensor body. (if I remeber correctly)

Thanks Fastmover, Do you remember if you had to remove the turbo oil-feed line to get to it???

Sorry, no I can't recall, it has been 6 years since I replaced the sensor on the 964t that I just bought, or have even worked on one to say the least. I will have to look at it to be sure. It is getting picked up by the transport company this Saturday. So hopefully sometime next week I can have a definite answer for you.

edit: I just saw your pictures in your other thread about the spark plugs, and you have a good picture of the oil pressure sensor in there. So, all you will need to do is probally loosen and re-clock that a/n banjo fitting for the oil line you referred to, or better yet temporarily undo the fitting to gain clearance to the oil pressure sending unit. This way you have a better chance of not hitting the oil line when loosening the sending unit.

Jerry, make sure you spend the $$ for a "Genuine Porsche" sender. I bought one from Pelican that was "OE Supplier" and the calibration was wrong. It's a bitch to change it (stuff in the way) when the engine's in the car.

Hey Boeing, I can get you a price on a Porsche part tomorrow. I work at a Porsche dealership, which is currently waiting on the owner of the dealership to authorize the parts dept to become a sponsor of Rennlist.
