[Cobalt] It may be a long distance shot as your memory is not that good anymore - but do you remember if the above car you posted pics of has the Porsche logos on the headrest ?

Was this (crested seats) an option on the 3.3 or the 3.6 ? I never saw it again besides in the movie...

Code Z53 "Head restraints with Porsche crest" IIRC it was a $250 option which honestly can't understand why more people didn't opt for considering how little it cost compared to MSRP.

As far as the other 3.6 goes that would be very interesting to find out but probably difficult to verify.

I would have to assume based on the info Mike provided and the number of scenes the car was used in the movie that there were only 2 cars used the 3.6T with red calipers and the 3.6 (Mike Bay's car) with black calipers. The other scenes probably used the shell or parts of a car, unless they took a 3.3 and popped the glass out to film the scenes where they were in the car.

I watched the movie again to take a closer look at the different cars, but you can't really tell. The car used in the beginning is the one with 'head restraints' and black calipers. The one used in the end is the other with red caliper.

There are 4 scenes through the movie where they drive the car, but you can't tell which car it is. I guess Cobalt is right about they used another car for the 'in car' takes, at least the last scene. This car didn't had crested seats.

Actually, as I wrote my previous reply I was wondering how many, both 3.3 and 3.6 Turbos that were ordered with the crested seats ? Any idea, anyone ?

Good luck trying to find out that info. It is hard enough to find actual number of cars by color never mind by option. I have found a handful of cars over the years with this option. It became more popular with the 993 but was never a big seller. Can't understand why.

Does anyone think, or know if, it is possible to have the crest embossed aftermarket?

Technically not legal I believe although check out the work done by Paul Champagne. Rennlist sponsor and does amazing work he did the leather work on my steering heel and it was top notch. You might find it difficult to ship back and forth but worth a call.
