Question about rear wheel tire wear......
Guys, what's the character of your rear tire wear? If you do not track your car do you have even tire wear or do you have more inner tire wear than outer tire wear (more camber)? I was looking down into my wheel well and discovered bald inner tire and 3mm outer tire. is this ok for non-track car???
thanks.
thanks.

Well, the alignment was done by Ruf in Dallas. Now I'm thinking i asked? for RS alignment??? I just don't remember now. Anyway, back to my original question, do your wheels wear out evenly????

I have never had rear tires on a 911 wear out evenly....but then RUF does all my alignment work? haha But even though they do mine the Boardwalk dealership guys tell me the same thing. On my 996 the right rear inside is always first although with this last set of tires I am running 4lbs less air in the rears and it has helped a lot.

Ok, so seems its inherent that Porsches have uneven tire wear in the rear, and wears out the inner tire before the outer tire... right?? Also, I think the reason the passenger side wears more than the driver side has to do with traction control.... every time I "peeled out" I think the passenger side gets most of the torque before the driver side reacts. Seems logical to me.... what do you guys think?

The right side wares before the left on any car for "Lack" of traction control. Even a posi-track Chevy wears tires more even than one without. All Porsche cars don't have traction control or lsd from the factory. Mine use to ware tires on the inside until I found how to align it properly. I don't track the car just for steet, and therefore I don't need an agressive track type setting and have reduced tire wear to a minniuum and have a lot better ride with the car lowered.
