Your kids ride in your Turbo?
Hi guys,
My son will be 3 years old next February, and he is around 32 lbs now. I would love to take him on rides in the Turbo.
I feel very guilty leaving the house without him, so the car has not been driven much like it should.
Now that he is a little older and no need for the stroller anymore, I want to start taking long drives again. It would be fun to have him along. He's already started asking to go in the Porsche.
Do you guys let your kids ride in the Turbo?
I am looking for a car seat that would fit in the back, any ideas?
Thanks,
Sonny

Yep, I do. I use a Graco with 4 built in 4 point seatbelt for my 3 year old. The shoulder belt holds it in. My 6 year old uses a Graco turbo booster.
This has been discussed at length on Pelican. Go there and do a search.

I have the older model recaro that fits in the back nicely. I believe it was the previous generation. I can go check the model if you need it.
This may create another problem. My son who is the same age, loves to ride in the turbo. I used to leave the car uncovered in the garage. He learned how to open the door from our house to the garage and I would find him sitting in the car. Every time he walks by the car he points to it and refers to it as his porchaa..
The car now gets covered, mainly to keep him out of it...

PS the look on his face when the turbo spools up is priceless.

He is now riding his electric 4x4 fun car in/out of the garage making me nervous about him scratching the cars. He is learning how to steer.
If you don't mind, please look up the model.
Colorado964turbo, look up the model of your car seat too please if you don't mind.
Have a great weekend,

I need to sort out a child seat for when my 4 month old son gets bigger. Australian child seats have both the seat belt and also a tether type belt for the child seat.
My 964 turbo has the plastic covers on the rear parcel shelf which hide the metal hooks used for the thether belt (Canadian 964's also have them factory fitted I believe).

I believe it is the older recaro youth sport child seat

If you can find a dealer such as babies r us nearby they will usually let you try to put it in the car...
I do need to put the front seat forward a little so passengers with long legs might not enjoy riding in front of the car seat. I think that will be an issue with any car seat though.
good luck

I have been taking my kids in the car since they were 2. My son, now 10, used to ask me to "make my peeper tickle again" (full boost) ! The kid is now a full-fledged Porsche junky. I have him in karts to keep him interested until he can drive.
