This connector is on the right side of the engine compartment of my 1991. What does it do? When I disturb it, I hear what sounds like a motor start up. I can wiggle it and make the motor(?) turn on and off. I suspect the connector is defective or perhaps the device it is plugged into. I discovered this when I was checking the A/C pressures after turning the engine off to disconnect the gages.
Just when I think I understand this car, something like this shows me I have a lot to learn!
Thanks,
Gary

I'm pretty sure this is a temp sensor.
Don't know the exact relation, but it will effect starting and stopping of the heat blowers.
The heat blowers are not only for cabin heat, helps cooling the engine.

Thanks, Steffan. I've never used the heater in the car! It's been a "fair weather" car! I'll take the plug apart first to determine if the contacts are corroded. If that isn't the problem, I'll look into replacing the sensor.
Thanks again,
Gary
