Default Part No request: mudflaps / sill guards

Hi,

My widebody car does not have the item marked below but I'm sure my badly peppered sills would thank me for getting a set so does anyone know what the part number for these is?

Many Thanks.

Jim.

Hopefully someone will double-check this for me, but I believe you are looking for 965 559 615 00 01C and 965 559 616 00 01C. I put them on my '91 and see why Porsche added them to the 3.6. A must-have.

They are (or were) closer to $50 ea at Sunset Imports but they're still not cheap. As with most factory parts there is a bit more to them than you initially expect. They have a molded lip that holds them straight and gives a fit that's, well, factory. A flat piece of heavy rubber could be cut to be just as functional but it would lose a bit of fit/finish appeal.

Does anybody know of a flap/guard which can be attached to the lowest edge of the rear bumper to stop stones being thrown up at following cars or has anyone made their own?

Unfortunately, I have not found anything for the rear and IIRC Sunset price was closer to $57 ea.

I mounted a set on my C2. There is a metal frame inside the flap and it will bend but can be straightened if bent. I ax my C2 and have bent them a couple of times but they do help protect the car.

Anthony,

Have you got a picture of these on your C2 that you could post?

Sure. Usual bad photos though.

The one without the tire was after an AX event as you can see the cones will bend them but can be straightened out easily.

Anthony,

Sorry, i'm actually looking to fit something behind my rear wheels on the rear bumper as i throw up quite a bit of road debris on some of the roads we use for runs over here and I want to minimise the damage to following cars.

I have the standard guards you've posted, the OP has actually used a picutre of my car in his post.

Thanks anyway.
