Finally Finished Rehabbing My Oil System
After battling a long, cold winter and many delays, I finished off my oil system last night. Since I had to reconfigure the lines to work with my new M&K exhaust, I figured it was a goo time to take care of all the hoses that were beginning to perish.
I made a hose for the scavenge pump to thermostat for pennies compared to what Porsche charges. Then, I replaced the four rubber hoses that run to the oil tank. I even replaced the lone o-ring in the thermostat. Lastly, I made a hose to run from an older style hard line (the kind that runs under the bell housing instead of behind the engine) to the new hose that feeds the thermostat.
This job was a giant pain. Ten pounds of $hit in a five pound bag, but rewarding when it was finished.
Now on to finishing off the exhaust!

Wow,there is life on the board. For a minute I thought I should have posted a thread about Speedline restoration
Ok, cost. To the best of my recollection:
Hose from sump to thermostat $150
Four of the short hoses from Porsche (with clamps) $100
O-ring for thermostat $3
Aeroquip hose/hose ends/union $170
Back dated oil line $120
Total $543
