IMO used original speedlines in good condition and still retain the SPEEDLINE FOR PORSCHE etch should bring around $3k depending on condition, another $500 to $1k for polished.

I've seen them anywhere from $3k all the way up to $6k for an unrestored, excellent condition set. (Notwithstanding the guy being ridiculed on this thread). Problem is, I haven't seen any come up for sale lately.

Then perhaps the truth lies somewhere between what he wants and what everyone's offering...if there were 1, 2, 5 sets for sale then it's "too high"
I've seen "0" sets for sale.
I offered him around $3K..no response.
I also asked the Gold Question

Sunset Porsche in Oregon has new Speedlines. I bought a set of polished ones last May.

I sold my polished set for $3k, minor clearcoat peeling and scratches but not too bad. I bought a set of new painted set for $5300.00. This was about 6 months ago. But hard to have a feel for the market since used sets are rarely for sale.

edit: paid 4200.00, not 5300.00.

OK guys, I have a lead on an original set from a '94 Turbo, excellent condition, unrestored, with the "Speedline for Porsche" in perfect shape on all 4 wheels. These were apparently in climate controlled storage for a while, so no rust or discoloration at all. Just a couple very minor imperfections but excellent condition. He's asking $4500 including tires. The wheels are black, supposedly ordered that way from the factory. Can anyone confirm black wheels were an option? I'll probably make him an offer of $3500 and see what happens - in this economy, I guess anything is possible

Option XD9 - Wheels painted to match the exterior color of the car. I'm pretty sure it was an option.

Dr. Jupemans Polar silver car came with black centered Speedlines from the factory. I know you could have ordered polished or custom painted centers for around $350 extra at the time.

I see,

sorry couldn't resist.

Actually there is a bunch of info regarding the upper and lower case I's. The newer versions of the speedlines manufactured in 2005 on have smaller case i's in SPEEDLiNE. They picked up on their mistake and started using upper case I's on the wheels manufactured in 2007.

AFAIK these were the last of the new batch of speedlines to be made and these will soon be NLA.

These are all real speedlines some with upper case and others with lower.
