Lightbulb The dot in Turbo 3.6 (three - dot - six)

Hello guys 'n gals,

first post from my side around here I'm pretty new to the field , just started to consider a 965. Before it was a C2 for me (but also equipped w/ LSD).

For the first post a - I guess - rather simple question (I know it sounds like trivia):
Is the dot chromed plastic or is it a sticker

Regards,
hvh

Welcome! It's chromed plastic. There have been several threads on here about people who have lost their "dots" and have had to buy the entire "3.6" to replace them.

Why do you ask?

And it is a sticker, in that it is mounted with adhesive.

My guess would be that most are lost while washing/drying the vehicle.

Hi,

thank you. The 'dot' will be the second replacement part - after the main engine belt (luckily found out before it ruined the engine compartment and engine...)
