Prelim Dyno Results in - 1992 911 Turbo S2
For the first time and to the best of my knowledge, a 1992 Turbo S2 (Mine) was finally put on a dyno to determine the hp afforded by the TS2 (Andial) kit. My car is making 320hp at the wheels which would equate to somewhere between 368-384 engine horsepower if my math is correct. Thoughts? I will get the print out tomorrow.

IIRC the S2 was rated at 381 BHP your numbers at the wheels would equate to 377BHP which sounds about right. The dyno used and atmospheric conditions along with corrections can make a difference so IMO your engine sounds healthy and running well after so many years. How may miles?
This is good info and you so far have the only all original from Andial S2 I know of. Almost all the others have had engine mods which really render them no different than a regular modified turbo. IMO your car, if kept as is, will someday be a valuable commodity.

Thanks Cobalt.
I plan to keep my car bone stock and she has traveled approximately 49k miles since its delivery to Champion Porsche in Pompano Beach Florida in July of 1991. With that said, the car had a top engine rebuild in late 1999/early 2000. I was informed by the car's prior owner that when he picked up the car in late 1999 the turbocharger had been modified at the waste gate spring and that the two electronic failsafe mechanisms were not functioning properly thereby facilitating overboost. He took the car to his mechanic in Massachusetts who informed him that the exhaust valves where burned and the intake valves we also damaged because the last owner had basically allowed the turbocharger to create much more boost. This was accomplished by bypassing one of the electronic boost controls, the second one was defective and the waste gate spring had an aluminum spacer inserted that kept the waste gate open longer to create more boost. Great for increasing horsepower but the idiot didn’t bother to add fuel so all it really did was overheat the engine. Fortunately for me and for the car, none of the parts replaced were part of the TS2 kit. As the prior owner informed me, Porsche makes great cars, but as you know, the owners aren’t necessarily smart people. The car's prior owner was meticulous with maintenance (as am I) and he poured a significant amount of money into the car to ensure it was mechanically restored to as close to original as he could get, which is fortunate for me. Because Porsche makes such a great car you can do this because even an idiot like the owner of the car in the late 1990s couldn’t wreck the engine although he sure tried.
Value is a tricky thing with these cars and as your are well aware. Someone walked up to me at the local concours here recently and asked me what it was worth. I told him what I paid (45k) in 2005 (have spent an additional 10-12 to maintain it since) and informed him it is worth what someone wants to pay for it (which admittedly sounds a bit cheeky, but it is what it is). I have absolutely no plans to sell or modify the car. She's fine for me the way she sits.

I just got the print out:
320.58 hp at the wheels and 294.55lb.ft. of torque at the wheels.............which would seemingly be close to 380 and 350 or so at the flywheel.........

Something doesent sound right on year mod as being a 92 year model, since as you said the car was delivered on July of 91. as production for 91 models ran from aug. 90 through july 91. 92 year model production didn't start till aug of 91.

My car was not delivered in July of 1991 to the best of my knowledge (oversight in my prior post). It was completed in Germany on the 11th of July 1991. It still had to be shipped here and then off to Andial and then back to Champion Porsche in Pompano Beach. I've got (2) COAs on the car, the dyno result, all the history, verified the VIN is one of the S2's delivered to Champion with another owner of an S2 in 2005 (searchable on Rennlist), verified that the car was delivered to Champion Porsche with Champion porsche and corresponded with Dieter Izenhofer (one of the founding members of Andial) about my car. Not sure I can do much more to prove up my car's history. I do agree with on the production date and not sure why mine maybe designated as a 1992, but the VIN is a 1992 VIN. If you know of another stone I can turn over to get more information on my car I will absolutely turn it over.
