The rims aren´t road legal in Germany, most probably because they have never been approved by the German TÜV for road use or they are not meeting the requirements of the traffic authority reg. stability etc.

Don´t know about the tires.

Interesting, So the RS or RSR were not legal for germany?

I have the paperwork from the factory and they only show:

Italy, Luxemburg, Austria, Spain, France, Jepan, Saudi Arabia & Switzerland on the list of Country codes, although I know a few made it here.

I am surprised this car was not legal yet the 92 turbo S lightweight was? These were the only wheel offered on the RS or RSR other than the BBS LM's at an addition cost of 6,710 DM not including V.A.T.

Damn weak dollar. Probably worth the selling price but I don't have that kind of change in the couch plus I think the wife is drawing the line at two sets...guess Cobalt wins.

I figure if I ever get the conversion done, I will just get hoops built for my wheels. Probably a cheaper proposition, though not as cool as original RSR wheels.

I think there is a better wheel to be built. To me if you have the power why not make 11.5, 11.75, or 12" wide wheels?

its been said that those rear wheels would fit a row 3.6 turbo? I dont understand how though?, the uk spec 3.6 had speedline 10" rears and not much offset at all. the rs 3.8 whilst turbo bodied had those 11" beautys with the massive deep offset but didnt use turbo rear suspension hardware , so is there a spacer behind the 10" row rear wheels? or would you need new arms to accomodate them .What are these arms?, how much, where from etc etc.

The ROW 3.6Turbo used part number 965.331.021(022).02 the US models used 965.331.021(022).03. I can't tell you the exact differences although others might. There were no spacers used and I think you might be misinterpreting what others might have said. I believe you are referring to the comments that have been made regarding fitting 11" wide wheels on the back of a ROW 3.6T vs not being able to fit them on a US 3.6T. I don't believe anyone said the 5ET offset RS/RSR wheels would fit on the rears of these cars. In order to fit a wheel like these you would need to swap the rear trailing arms for the N/A trailing arm or that used on the 3.6RS.
