I think he was referring to the price new. The MSRP without options was $99k.

Ironically today this color in the GT3 RS is all the rage. I can understand why.

I believe the sticker on mine was 104K, I'll have to check. It is really a fantastic color.

Well I will be sad to see this one go also as it is truly stunning in color and over all looks.

I've seen Mike a few times on the road and that car is like a mouth watering jelly bean as it whizzes past you. You can't help but be mesmerized by the color.

Hopefully it finds a local home as I would love to continue caring for this very rare gem. I'm sure though, knowing Mike, whatever replaces this must be one hot Porsche!

Good luck Mike!

Anthony

Damn, if I had the cash, I would pay full price in a heartbeat. Good luck with the sale. It is a great car and deserves an equally great owner/home.

Your Post stated that "after some serious debate" you made this decicion. Who did you debate with?

It appears that you argued with yourself......and lost the argument!

Good luck with whatever your moving to. I know I'd find it tough to move away from such a great car in such an arresting color.

LOL Yeah I guess I could have said it different. I should have used the word thought instead of debate.

Mike, love that car there must be away we can keep it in the USA. I think it's time to talk about a rennlist group buy. How much would it cost if I get dibs on weekends with sunny days only.

Dang that is the 7th or 8th really nice car I have heard about going oversees in the past 2 weeks.

Reminds me of all the cars I brought over in the mid 80's. The pros and cons of this. The pro: Less of these cars in the states may someday escalate the value of the US 94 turbo well above it's MSRP. The con: Less of these cars in the US may someday escalate the value of these cars well above MSRP.

Buy them now while you still can.

Good Luck Mike I hope your getting a premium.

I thought the weak dollar and the number of overseas participants on the 964turbo section of Rennlist would make it turn out this way.

I'm a little surprised that Ray didn't offer to buy it back from you and try to sell it overseas himself.

I would have rather seen it stay here in the states, but thats the way it ended up. The person that is buying definatley appriciates the uniqueness and rarity of the car and the collectability. The so called collectors here in the states, just saw it as another 3.6 that was green and tried to make excuses for lowballing me. In the end I had two people wanting it bad, I'm glad it is going to the person that bought it, it was important to me who got it.
