Block was air cooled, heads were water cooled. Cheers re. the Avatar - just got it back from a $22k rebuild...

I think the 962 was also air cooled cylinders and water cooled heads.

959!!!

.....probably the only Porsche for which parts will cost even than for a 965

Seriously though, please make sure you post lots of pics, and videos too!
As there is no 959 forum, you are very welcome to stay on as an honorary "965er"

I hear the ABS system on a 959 costs $18k to replace amongst other very $$ parts.

Nice cars advanced for their time but at the costs involved a simple slightly moded 965 will do just as well around the the track without having to sell the equivalent of a 965 to repair.
