Guys, I was looking at the manuals last night and volume II may be missing some sections. A friend of mine had these and I put a call into him to see if he has them. The only problem is he moved recently and his garage is a little disorganized. This may take some time. I’m sorry but I should have checked first. I’ll get back to everyone interested as soon as I can.

I would like to propose a kinkos operation of these manuals (if possible). We could get them copied and bound to then be made available for all forum members at whatever the cost maybe. What do you all think?

Many pages are odd sizes and fold out so quite difficult (but not impossible) to copy etc.
btw, I have a set that I don't use and would be willing to sell, to recoup my cost.

Wow that was fast, I know of someone who is interested if you guys pass.

I also have a 94 turbo 3.6 1 volume manual if anyone needs it. These sell for $220 new but I'd be willing to take half. US shipping only, sorry guys.

Also if it is nothing to extreme for the missing pages less than 20, no fold outs, I can copy the missing pages and fax them to whoever buys them if this helps in the interim.

Cobalt,

can you look at your Volume II and tell me what sections are included? When I get home I'll try to post what I have.

For the first time since I bought these, I have checked through the volumes bought from Jim Dorociak, who is a regular rennlist guy, and they don't seem to be complete. There are sections missing. I can't find Jim's contact details. Does anyone know him? Maybe he can clear this up for us? Please either pm me or post here...

Kavo, The List of contents for vol 2 consists of:
Chassis,
Body,
Heating, Ventilation, Air Condition,
Electrics.

There are subsections within these headings and pages are grouped from 40 through 96.
My volume 2 only seems to have groups 40-48
Similar situation with Volume 1, although Vol 3 has the wiring diagrams.

I know my set is complete from the factory at home, including supplements. There are certain pages generic to the entire 964 set and some sections might be covered in the 964 set and not in the turbo manuals. So if your using the index as a reference this might be what is causing the confusion. I will check and report back.

Well, got these because I always wanted a Turbo. Never really looked at them, and decided to sell when I decided to restore a 65 300SE Mercedes (another story). When I bought them they were represented as complete, but as I said I never looked at each page, section or anything, just thought here they are and on the shelf they go.

So I am really not going to be much help.

jim dorociak & 911addict,

My volume II is the same way 40-48. I talked to my friend who bought them new and he said he thought something was wrong when he received them as well. He called the place he bought them from and they told him they were correct and complete. Let’s see what cobalt has in his.

you need the 964 manual to fill in the gaps. mine is the same.
