jbl930 had a similair issue with not getting enough fuel up top. I advised him to try having the CO raised at idle as a temporary fix. He did have it raised and did confirm to me that it did lower the AFR up top.
I know it's a 930 not a 964t though.

Thanks guys.
Apologies Stu, I know you were trying to help

Anyway, the car is running well except at start up, idle not as solid as before, and sometimes cuts out if I don't drive off immediately. Doesn't pop so much at lift off either which again indicates its not as lean as before.
Car is going back to GTOne (very helpful guys, taking the car back in, no excuses). Probably will lean it out at idle to where it was before (below 1% CO) and yes are experienced guys so they do disconnect lamda when measuring.
At this stage, I'm not unduely worried about lean further up, as this idle setting won't make a difference on WOT, and from recent vmax runs I have no probs at all, and mine are mild mods at that.
(And yes I agree, much safer to get the car set up and checked on rolling road/ AFR's measured.)
Thanks all.

I'm not going to say you are wrong Mark, but I cannot say that you are correct either.

Are you going to Ace on Wednesday night?

It's too far to drive my 3.2 I think - Driver fatigue.

I will definitley come though when I do get the 930 back together. I drove this car home from York when I bought it and to be honest I didn't really want to get out

Are you going on Wednesday Anthony?

So does that mean that the leaner the mixture the more pops and bangs you get on lift off? Thanks for Info and sorry for OT

I have been driving the car over the last few days and given it lots of boost time.
Haven't had any problems at all. Its starts every time, and goes well, in fact it goes like STINK!!
When on boost it is very strong, perhaps the valve adjustments have made a difference.
I was pleasantly surprised today when the garage phoned me to ask me how I am getting on, and they invited me to visit at the end of the week so they can check my mixtures and be sure the idle issues are in the past

Nathan, the info i gave you wasn't very reliable, i was reading the LM1 in one hand whilst driving the car flat out through 2nd and 3rd gear, glance at the gauge then glance at the road, i didn't record anything to check the figures, it most likely didn't make a difference, it initially looked like it was reading richer, i was going to do some proper checks at Brunters but as you know the day didn't go very well.

Mark, i have your WUR here now, give me a bell and i'll arrange to drop it off, i'm out and about for the next couple of days measuring up so i might be able to drop it off if your in the Thames Valley, let me know! You really should get it on your car and dialed in, with that HFS etc on there you'll be close to the limit during VMax runs, especially at 1.0bar, you really don't need your engine in bits right now! Speak soon

Thanks Jonathan.

The reason I know it might help is because when you turn the CO screw you are actually moving the metering system in the fuel head in relation to the metering plate. This is the only way more fuel is given for more air consumed. Of course, I'm sure there are many other factors.
