91 965
Just to keep this post alive and kicking...I thought I'd add a fun pic.
1991 965 pushing 100k miles. Updates are so numerous I lost track (mainly because I'm afraid to add up the dollars). I took the I'm going as far from stock approach as is possible ;-) Most note worthy are are a blue printed motor and rebuilt trans w/ updated g50/03 2-5 gears (rocking good change btw). Showed up cold at the local autox with 3 year old r compounds and a fear of cones (I recently had the panels resprayed and not ready to ding them just yet) and took the street prepared class. It's fun to get folks reactions when they realize a Turbo can run with the rest.

In connection with kleinbbc2's car, we were talking about the height, people agreed that the car had to be lowered. Come to think about it, my car looks almost the same like klienbbc2's car, and mine is 100 % original.
Does anyone know what it was like from the factory? I tried to meassure mine, and it seems like there is approximately 70 mm at the front wheels, and 6-7 mm less at the back.

Hey Jeff what did you have resprayed and how much did you pay?? I want to redo my hood, front bumper and shark fins and the guy at a reputable shop told me if i took them off and brought them to him he would charge 200 dollars for hood, 200 dollars for bumper and 150 for both shark fins, does that sound reasonable to you???
THANKS

I had a friend do this for me as a favor....so unfortunately I don't have a price to share. The work that went into my parts just in stripping, preping and buffing was > 40 hours. Paint alone was over $150 (guards red). $550 is a good deal I guess. But you might want to check to see what they plan on doing, and the paint they're using.
