I just got a new kevlar front chin splitter.
Assclown barely wrapped it with bubble wrap even after I told him to take extra care.
What do you know, it arrived in two. I don't know if you can even buy it anymore.
Question is, anyone heard of repairing kevlar. I imagine it is similar to fiberglass or maybe carbon.
Thoughts, suggestions, or capable party recommendations are all appreciated.
Thanks.

R.T., you could just give it to me and i'll fix it. HA. HA.. Seriously call a friend of mine in Houston named RO YALE @ 713 977 1469 . I think his business is called Carbonfiber Technology. If he can't help you he can tell you who can. AL

if it was me I'd be sending it back to said Assclown demanding a refund and costs incurred. At the end of the day knowing it wasn't as made, and repaired, would niggle at me. I agree with 911addict if its as fragile in post, although could have been seariously mishandled, I'd worry about integrity on the car.
Is there no postal insurance you can claim against?

It was insured and he is refunding in full. I will probably keep the part though and use some of those funds for repair.
As far as on the car, it will be attached to the underpanels which will provide additional support. The part is a bit thinner than I would like though. It appears FVD uses fiberglass now.

My friend had that one, and smashed one side when he hit a kerb. Like me, he now uses the cheapo rennspeed two piece RSR copies. They do their job, are tough and flex, and very cheap to replace.

Whatever you decide, these splitters set our cars off nicely.

"How are the Rennspeed splitters attached? I don't see any mounting holes."
My shop did them for me, I recall they drilled the spilitters and used the existing undertray screws. Maybe someone else can confirm?
They are black so I didn't paint them them.
PS: Don't expect a quality fit at that price, but they'll do.

Drew, yours are nice, but they are the expensive aftermarket ones ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Mine are the 'genuine' motorsport cheap ones![order](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/order.gif)
Here's a picture which shows them fairly clearly:
