Well, I'm no expert but AFAIK they were indeed purchased by another company who makes totally different wheels from what Kinesis used to make. The Kinesis wheels that will be looking for (Kinesis supercup) hasn't been available for years. Kinesis were working on a second generation Supercup II wheel (Deep reversed lip) just before they were bought
. Dunno about availability for spare parts though but I did hear, just as you said they they are (were?) a pleasure to deal with.

There are some others I know of (it's a 1 piece wheel though), the first is keskin http://www.tunershop.de/felgen/felgen/keskin-kt2.html and the 2nd from veloce wheels

I've got the keskins for a few months now, no idea about their condition in a few years time...
Way more affordable than speedlines (for me)

Pissed myself again... Yum Yum. My bbs rims look good anodised but it took the guy a lot of polishing before hand, to the point he said he would never do it again...
