On the odd dry winters day with no salt on the road you must drop all other committments and take a long hard drive.Should be a condition of ownership!

Keep the photos coming of this dream turbo !

Hi Christian, I am assured that the car was never track used, and while that may not be accurate, given the condition of the car I do not doubt it. I also have a 997 GT3 in GT Metallic that is a few months old, and I find it hard to tell on most days which is the newer car on cosmetics alone - paint condition, interior leather including roof lining, clarity of glass, etc. PO had done a fantastic job of maintaining the car. Where the age of the car does show a little bit are the wheels - there is some clouding on the outer rims of the Speedlines. The seats look very good in person - maybe the white/grey color against the flash?

I actually suspect that the newer cars attract more dust and dirt because of the design of the aerodymanics - the back protion design creates a downward vacuum, so after just a few miles the back of the GT3 already shows dirt. On an equivalent drive, the Turbo S continues to look pristine.

Unfortunately the roads in Scotland in winter are dry and salty or wet and salty - don't like either of these conditions so stays in my garage until spring.

I also thought Carlos' Recaros looked a little worn for 15000 km car. Note that the drivers in Japan do not rack up the miles anywhere near what the European or American drivers do so perhaps it is the frequent short distance drive which led to the seats looking as they are. Otherwise a fat b-----d was sitting in the car

No, not the flash!

The polstery looks not very good in shape and the leather looks very shiny and worn at the corners!

But no worry, we are talking about a minor point!
The whole car is a dream!!! Its one of the greatest cars Porsche ever build!

That's the one.
It was featured in a 2003 911 & Porsche World article (the very same article that convinced me I someday had to have a 965).

Firstly I want one, Please may i win the lottery

Interesting to get exact differences to normal 3.3.

From memory it produced 370HP vs 320HP but was lighter.

Parts etc.

Assuming most of us are not going to iwin the lottery and if we wanted to bring our engines to same spec what would costs and bits be?

Camshafts - What exactly does it use. I have heard two versions on this on saying SC Cams and another saying standard C2 cams.

Turbo Have not heard what version this takes over stock 3.3.

Still love the ducts in the rear arches.

What a car

381 PS!

And it was much more light! Carbon hoods and doors, thin RS glass, RS interior, etc.!

I was having a read of the Porsche 911 Story by Paul Frere and there is mention of the 964 Turbo S 3.3 in his book.

Apparently it used 964 3.6 cams and ported and polished heads/intake runners and .9 bar of boost.

Not too sure about any other mods to the engine (exhaust, turbocharger etc.).

964 Turbo S Lightweight is the cover artcile in the December issue. Good photos, driving impressions, and lots of specs including differences with regular Turbo. A second article compares it to a 997 Turbo.
