Now I can see the pics and look forward to the others during the restoration.

Where can you drive a 911 at speed in HK? Go over to the Kowloon side and get out into the country?

In the morning, you could go anywhere, out into the country or up to the mountain ! And some of us would take them to a track nearby !

Hi all,

Thanks all for the warm welcome!

The engine is actually fine but it is leaking just a tiny bit of oil so for peace of mind I'm just rebuilding it.

Oh my god Ray our Carrera's look like long lost twins!

I have seen you cars many times Edward and we should definitely catch up sometimes! I think you know Jason too as you two went to ZIC trackday a few years back? I saw your beautiful car too during the Richburg event and if you don't mind I will share the pictures will all:

Can't wait to get my car back...

Kev

Cool car but typical of a HKie thinking it as a pure investment only.

Sorry mate investment is only part of it. I absolutely love my 3.6 Turbo and have no intention to sell it; yet it is good to know the car you own is not depreciating.

welcome,

you have perfect taste and could'nt agree with you more about saying that a 964 c2 will only just be that but when you've got a 3.6 turbo you can't get any better and you know you've got the big "daddy of 911's"

well done, enjoy ownership and the forum

I don't know I really like my C2, it handles great and is a blast to drive although highly modified. The turbo is an entirely different animal and if I had to decide between the 2 the C2 goes but it is a fun car and considerably underrated. I like the fact that I can enjoy the C2 and not worry about it. Every time I am in my turbo someone wants to race me or worse they drive on your bumper trying to get you to speed off. Never know if they are crazy or stupid, both do damage.

Anyway your turbo looks great, Midnight is one of my favorite colors on these cars and yours looks like it will be in top shape when your done. That was major work what you did to your C2, looked to be in top shape to begin with either color was fine.

Actually yes I agree that the 964 C2 is a bit more fun to drive as it is more nimble. The Turbo 3.6 seems a bit "lazy" but of course power wise it is in a different league. I have seen people who have moved from a 964 Turbo back to a 964 C2 just for the fun factor

Having said that I have yet to tried a 964 RS...I bet that's even better!

Before I bought my 3.6 Turbo, I came across a 964 RS touring version. It very very nice and feel like what a Porsche should be !!!

Exactly, although the turbo once on boost feels anything but lazy. I find when I climb in one without driving the other prior to it, I just say man what a great car. Yet if I drive one of the others first you start to get critical of each model. That being said they are two different levels of excitement and although the C2 is very interactive nothing gets my adrenaline flowing like the turbo on boost.

I hope you are keeping the C2 also. It looks like you put a lot of energy into making it perfect and is always a compliment to the turbo.
