Default Rear bumper sag

Anyone else had the corners of the bumper hanging down a bit and done something about it?

I am looking into a solution but wanted to see what others had done.

I was thinking just tapping into the metal below the tail lamp for the additional support. Not alot is needed.

The cast aluminum sub-frame might have gotten damaged. There are 2 tabs on either side that support the rear bumper. If this is broken you will need to remove your bumper and have someone weld the tabs back in place or drill and tap it so you can bolt it together. If you jack up the rear of the car you should be able to see the part I am talking about directly below either side of the center reflector.

The center is fine. Just the two corner pieces are drooping a bit. There really is no support for them other than where it meets the center section and all the way up at the tire well.

So your talking the 2 side sections. IIRC there should be 5 rivets 3 clamps and a support bracket on either side preventing any sag. You might want to try checking to see if they are there
