I have half the interior out and can't get to it until next week. The C2 moves along nicely once its moving.

SPJ,

I would guess the car is stock weight +/- a few pounds

As for 60-130. Without putting any test equipment on the vehicle, scientifically speaking, I would say somewhere between scared rabbit and raped ape.

I just took these pictures. Please forgive my 4th grade photography skills. The others were taken by a professional photographer.

If you notice one of the features that Protosport did was to mount the intercooler on heim joints that allow the core to be pushed back as far to the rear of the engine bay as possible. This allow the intercooler to sit aft of the fan so air is pulled down through the core.

If you look at some of the other conversions you will see shady brackets just welded on to hold up the intercooler.

Wow,

Didn't get to see the finished product and it is even more impressive than I saw it last.

Thanks guys. I really wanted a Secan intercooler but the $18000 price tag was a bit much. So Protosport made me one that looks like it.

Craig - that is one beautiful-looking engine bay, with the performance to match the looks by the sounds of it. I'd love to see some performance figures.

I know this will be a case of "if you have to ask how much, then you can't afford it" but dare I ask how much this whole project cost?

Thanks for sharing!

You have to love how far we have come. 600+ hp and still runs great with A/C. Years ago they were struggling to achieve 500 and most of the time you had to eliminate all the amenities to gain max results. I can only imagine how sick this puppy feels at WOT.

Thanks for the kind words. As for performance numbers, Protomotive/Protosport lean more towards road tuning than dyno tuning. Even Todd Knighton, owner of Protomotive, still road tunes 1000 HP monsters he builds in Arkansas. So once I get everything broken in well I might take it to a dyno.

As for cost, budget the best part of 25-30K. Though from other major tuners I was quoted up to 50K to do a job like this.

I just saw a friend's Turbo 3.6 last weekend. He had EFI conversion done and it produces 650 hp on high boost. But it looks just like a normal Turbo engine, none of the engine tins were re-finished, the fan is the same as before, the intercooler is not polish, etc. The cost was $30K.

Your looks great and seems to be worth the money spent and the overall product looks more polish and professionally done.
