Sounds like a fast grocery getter!

Can't wait for the reports from the track with that kind of power. With the increased throttle response from the EFI is turbo lag almost entirely eliminated?

The turbo is a custom trim Garrett GT35R. It is rather large so the lag will not be eliminated but will be about the same to a little better than a stock K27. The cams and better breathing should have it come on boost a little sooner.

As nice as the pictures are, I can't wait to see it in person.

Craig,
Looks great!
i just completed a EFI conversion but used the estock manifold.
thinking about ussing a 3.2 manifold.

What did you do to the throttle body to make it work on the 3.2 manifold?
position?,linkage? Any idle controll?
Are the injectors fitting right into the manifold?
What fuel rails are they?
Elliot

The EFI system is Motronic and yes the injectors go right into the manifold. I will find out about the rails for you.

The rails are standard issue Carrera rails. I have some $100 plus shipping. Thanks

This is the turbo we are using. A Garrett GT35R housing with a custom 72 lb wheel.

This is interesting: the paint marks on the blades and the orange marks on the bolts look similar to how my Garrett from Limit Engineering came. Do you know who custom built your turbo? Did you measure the turbine exducer and the compressor inducer? If so, what were the numbers? How about the turbine A/R?

Olli, Protosport set it up to their specs. Garrett built it that way for my build. Which might explain the markings. As for the rest of your questions, I have no clue : )

Schnele, no sweat, saved me from calling to find out about the rails. I like how the Carrera rails use piping rather than flexible hose to supply fuel.

Thanks Craig, maybe the marking system is universal among turbo builders!? Regardless, they seem to be doing a job second to none. Looking really good
