The splitter is fiberglass and has been molded to fit over top of the black plastic lower valence covers. It's attached with rivits underneath and screws in the fender wells. I just had it repainted because it gets chipped up very easily; clear bra is going to be applied after the paint has time to cure. The mods are proof of my sickness...

PTurbo 965,

See my car on Pelican. Search cars for sale "1992 964 Turbo." It's black with a Turbo S tail that is slightly different. I cannot post a picture or contact you by PM.

I think the S wing looks very different on the sides.

I think you're right. One here is a genuine S, the other is a Turbo 3.6 with an aftermarket tail.

The left hand one is a 3.6 Turbo S, the right hand is a 3.3 Turbo S... the 3.3 S has a narrower lip around the spoiler.

I think I prefer the 3.3 TS tail - it's less dumpy looking - and IMHO the 3.3TS is the ultimate 911 Turbo!

My understanding is that the 3.3 Turbo S is more along the lines of a lightweight 'Turbo RS' than the 3.6 Turbo S. They certainly seem to be very rare cars indeed.

That's what I believe it was - although it was a bit more advanced in that it not only had lightweight seats and trim but also used carbon fibre (bonnet, doors and wings I think) to lose weight. The normal RS made do with steel - not surprising given it cost half as much as the 3.3TS...

There was a thread on this a while back. The 92 S did not use CF parts. I believe there were some Fiber Glass parts though. It had light weight glass, seats and most all options omitted right down to no hood shocks to save weight. The wing was very similar to the RSA wing and a bit small to add the needed down force albeit a good looking wing. These cars could never be imported to the US because they do not comply with DOT requirements.

is there any such thing as a fiberglass version of the plain ol turbo wing? I like the look but would prefer to lose the dumpy rubber.

The turbo s wing is too swoopy and the RS is a bit big me thinks. A smaller RS would be perfect tho.

I like the 3.3 ts wing but want good downforce.

Although I agree - I think he pays a premium for orginality...
