Interesting colour (color) and price

[QUOTE=cobalt]I looked up paint options and codes last night. I do not have the paint list from Porsche for 1991 but I have it for 92, 93 and 94. Zermatt is not listed as a standard or special order color.
That's interesting Anthony. In Peter Morgan's book "Original Porsche 911" it says that the colour options for the 964T were the same as for the regular 964s and as such Zermatt seemed to be available for all years of 964 production except 1989 & 1991 (my mistake in my last post). Interesting as Drew's is a 1991 car (perhaps a 1992 model?) and I know both my car and Sonny V's cars are both '92 cars in Zermatt. I've always been interested about the colour as so many people comment on it when they see my car, so I'd love to find out more...

How odd...I remember seeing this exact color on a 964T in 1994 in Fishkill, NY at the local Porsche dealer. It was one of those moments when you see a car/color combination and just go wow.
Great car - good to see one again.

Thanks for the compliment. What type of sway bars do you have on your car? I found one rear survivor at AJ USA and ordered a front from Porsche Motorsports. Any luck on the sale?

Porsche Motorsports has a front bar? Do you have a part number and contact info? I have the rear already. What drop links are you using?
I pulled the info for colors from the Porsche Technik manuals that I have for the different model years. The turbo technik does not list the codes the info comes from the C2/C4 Technik documents. I was surprised to see Zermatt not listed. I did not check Adrians book which would be next, however, I am surprised to see it not listed in Factory publications. I also noted that Zermatt is not listed for the 928 GTS either yet I have seen a few painted in that color.

I think that is the first 3.6 I have seen in this color whatever it is.
The chart I listed shows the colors offered for 92. 93 and 94 were almost the same. As you can see the colors are off but it shows Maritime as darker than Cobalt and this car is lighter. The Maritime's I have seen next to my car looked much darker.

Is that a "Non-Airbag-Conversion"?

Also, take a look at that price, that's $80000 folks!
Ok, it's the upper end of the 3.6 scale here, but it just shows the premium the 93-94 3.6 has over the 91-92 3.3 in the UK market

It has got the non-airbag interior like the UK spec 964s - the ash tray in the knee pad is the giveaway. The steering wheel is the same as contemporary 968 Club Sports and Sports (which is a lovely wheel) so perhaps it was an option to have this wheel and therefore the airbags were deleted?
Anyway - a lovely looking car at a premium price! There are 2 others for sale in the UK at present both around this price...

Do the RHD 964's only have the airbag on the drivers side and not on the passengers side ? At least that's how they are delivered in Australian spec 964's.
