Default Recent Drive to the Golden Triangle

The Golden Triangle: Where the Thai/Burmese/Laos border meets. Previously infamous for other things but in the last week of Jan 07, thirty porsches ranging from 930 to 934 to Cayman to 996GT2 to 997GT3 drove through these mountain roads and had an absolute blast.

Just wanted to share some pics. More Here:

Looks like it was a well attended drive out, with great scenery.
Your Turbo looks really clean and superb with the wheels and RSR tail. What are the wheels and does the rear spoiler fit around the intercooler without fouling?

Yeah it was a great break from the heat and congestion in Bangkok.

The wheels are BBS LM. Rear lid fits OK over the IC but had to fabricate a new shroud to seal the intercooler. But sides of lid does not flush perfectly with the car body, but I'm not so finicky about aesthetics....have loads of stones chips anyway

Default P car drive

Beautiful landscape, but you guys need to learn to drive on the correct side of the road! Guess we're just jealous! TJN/VK

Did you need spacers with the wheels and if so, how big front and rear?

I noticed a similar problem with fitment on another car, but does anyone know if there is a 3.8 RS-like engine lid and spoiler that will fit without fabrication and with good panel gaps?

Great pictures! I've spent some time on those roads, but it was in a crappy Toyota with buses coming at me head on - because they could.

I think I would freak if those bus drivers came at me like that on a mountain road in my 911.

Big MAc, I didn't put spacers but wanted to. 5mm front and 10mm rear would make the tires flushed with the car body but I think I would have had to roll the fender lip which I didn't want to do as it might mean a repaint if the paint cracks

P'Turbo, it is alot more comfortable driving a p-car as the power and excellent brakes gets you out of dicey situations easily as the p-car is alot more agile than others on the road
