Anyone tried Mobil 1 5W50 in their 964 3.6? Results? Cautions?

I read that the '5' means its extra thin and will more likely leak. A spec of '10' os generally recommended for our older cars.... eg. 10-40

10w30 in the winter, and then change the oil in the spring, is the info received at my local shop...

It is to light of a weight.. With your temps you should be using at least 15W-50. Like Nathan mentioned.

I have 10W-60 in my 3.6 Turbo, though they are not Mobil.....But will try 15W-50 next oil change !!!
