Thumbs up 600 miles already.....my opinions

600 of the best miles ive ever driven.... this car rocks!!!!! I am looking forward to getting used to it cause all i wanna do is take it out for a drive, its really supposed to be a weekend car.
So far i have noticed that it rides pretty harsh on rough roads im gonna need shocks and springs, How much am i looking at for a descent set of stock types???
The brakes are kinda squeaky and the front rotors look like time for a change out. How much for some front rotors??? Are those zimmermans good???
Can you guys identify this noise?... when the engine is running it sounds like some sort of pump or somthing from the engine compartment, almost sounds like a hairdryer only a little deeper, pitch does not change with RPM's. Is this a normal noise or does something need changing soon??? It doesnt really bother me but its very noticable at idle with the windows up.
When i make a right turn whether its fast or slow i hear a sound exactly like a little bird chirping really fast from right front, after i straighten out it stays but somtimes goes away when i hit a bump, this sound is intermittent and i only heard it today for first time. Is it the power steering???

Anyhow this car is a keeper not a single drop of oil on my floor or on the engine, the engine is smooth and seems to have an endless amount of power.

I would only use genuine Discs. I got sent some supposedly Zimmermans, I didn't want them on my 3.2 carrera, they still sit in my garage. I got genuine parts from somebody else. They didn't look good enought to trust my life with.

The hairdryer noise you hear in the engine compartment is likely a heater blower (964 624 328 00 or 993 624 328 00) that resides in the rear quarter panels - there are two, one in each. Replacement is straightforward and you can access it by removing the plastic surround within the wheel well.

Chirping noise with turns could be front wheel bearings or could be shocks/springs

I think you would benefit from taking the car to an experienced wrench that can go through the entire car and tell you all the things requiring repair. Some will be immediate, some can wait. tell us where you live, I am sure someone can recommend a good mechanic.

Thanks JBH and Nathan, what does the heater blower do JBH??? If its for heating the inside of the car then that is weird cause i havent been using the heat or AC yet. Or do they run all the time??? But you could be right cause it does sound like its coming from the right rear.

Inspiring reading, good you like the car.
The zimmermans are fine, worked great on my car, spend a lot of time on the track with them.
Are you sure the chirping isn't from the brakes, could be that simple ?
Don't think it's the power steering, but you could check the fluid level, right side of engine compartement.

Going to spend Easter on Nürburgring, leaving tomorrow cu.

Blowers provide heat flow to the cabin, but also cooling to the headers. So yes, you will hear it even if the heater is not on.
