Default Performance #'s

OK, I got my car back and it was dyno'd at 479lbs and 485hp at the wheels.

I have a 92' 3.5T.

I am going to take the car to the track in a couple of weeks and see what it will do in the 1/4 mile and 0-60 and 0-100, what should I expect?

Opinions please. I know it depends on the driver, the launch, etc etc, just looking for opinions.

Those look like great numbers. Of course you must have an EFI engine.
Care to tell us a bit more about the dyno used, a dyno sheet would be icing on the cake.

I would not go very hard on the tranny and gearbox. Why don't you try a 60-130mph run and videotape it, then watch at home (and share with us ) and tell us how many seconds it took you.

Have safe fun!

^the car has a switch set at .8 & 1 bar, the dyno was done at 1 bar.

What #'s should I expect out of this car?

this would not be a CIS car would it? If so how are you getting enough fuel to support those #'s/ THX

Thats some good numbers- his car is Efi (check out Christians last post and pics of his engine)

Please can you provide all the info on your engine to get those numbers, any internal upgrades? What manifold are you using as well? Also what ECU.... so many questions!

Here's what I can tell ya.

1) Ported Polished and brought up to a 3.5L
2) EFI
3) Larger IC
4) Race Cams
5) Race Exhaust
6) Manifold
7) ECU Upgrade
8) K29 Turbo

All this work was done in AZ by PowerHaus.

Christian,
If you are asking the opinion of the board you need to tell us more!
Post your dyno chart with AFRs, What turbo are you using? When you say ECU upgrade, what do you mean exactly?

Edit: You have not requested feedback on the dyno numbers but rather on acceleration numbers I guess! With those numbers and stock weight, you should be seeing around 120mph trap speed and ET of 12 seconds max with your 5 spd gearbox.. In the 60-130mph you should be in the 8's sec.

With the K29 it may be a little slower off the line. When does the boost come on full? I am seeing close to those numbers in my car with much less HP, lower 1/4 speed but low 12's in the 1/4 with bad starts, so I would assume he should at least see a 12 second 1/4. The articles that I have show a stock 3.6T doing 12.5 1/4's, why don't you think he should not be able to do better than 12 seconds?

Anthony

You are absolutely right, I meant a maximum time of 12 seconds , which, translated into english, what I meant was that he must be below 12 seconds. What measures power is the trap speed more than the ET, and 120mph would be very good for his hp/weight. I would say ET of between 11.5 and 12s is most normal with a decent driver. On a 6 speed gearbox, that might be between 11.5 and 12.5 depending on trap speed.

BTW I am a believer that more lag does not really impact your quartermile times nor acceleration at those levels, what you loose on the low end, you will gain once it is spooling, except in the case of well built hybrids, where both the low end and top end goes strong, therefore will beat a K29 for instance.

On more limited acceleration runs (stop light to stop light) then yes you might loose to a smaller K27 turbo equipped car. Just my opinion.
Cheers

The new Z06 traps at about 124 to 127 mph. With similar power, torque and weight I would expect your trap speeds at the quarter to be in that range. Let us know what happens!

What kinda power does your car have? What #'s have you got so far?

You are correct, the car is a little slow but when I hit 3500-4000rpm and it spools the car is like a rocket. It holds you in the seat hard until you hit around 110mph or so.
