I have mentioned on here before my 3.3 965 with 460hp (measured on chassis dyno so no doubt suceptable to the effects of heat on the road) - a magazine called Performance style used my car in a group test in 1995. They ran some performance numbers with proper testing kit. The acceleration runs from a standing start were difficult since it either bogged down or lit up the tyres. The numbers used were from a bog down start - mine is the "Mod Turbo" - hope this is useful

Also half the pic of the 4 cars at the drag strip - check out the B&B undercarriage

Thanks for the post. Interesting article back then. Supercharing looks good until after 100 then- I always thought if posche didnt produce it then why would it be better?
Oh how did you get your 3.3 to get those HP numbers?

The supercharged 3.2 Carrera was very lightweight - the job was done by Steve Holgate of Exclusively 9 who were pioneers of the S/C in those days (working with that American outfit - Knoxville ?), culmulating in the building of a racing twin supercharged 964RS.
Mods to mine were:
Hybrid K29
G Force Group B+ cams
B&B headers
Gutted Cat
Stock muffler
Doctored Metering head
K&N canister filter
1bar wastegate spring which seemed to give 1.1 to 1.2 bar quite often
The car ran 420fwhp on a Bosch rolling road and the addition of the headers put it up to 460hp on the same road.
Quite what it ran in reality on the road once nicely heat soaked - who knows the above test numbers (100kph-200kph, 1420kg in ~ 10s) indicate maybe 430hp ?
The other thing that puzzles me about the numbers is the 100-120mph in 3.3s in 4th yet takes 4.2s through the gears. Is there a slow gear change in there (can't remember the 5speed ratios) or is there some serious heat soak going on in the thru the gears acceleration run ?
