Just saw this car listed on e-bay. I couldn't help but notice the extreme length of the exhaust tips. Does this serve any purpose whatsoever?
Does the car belong to anyone here?

I am concerned with my car when I get it back together.
As it is the paint is darkend around the exhaust tips on the bumper.
When I have the car back together it should shoot flames. I do not want my car to catch fire. I am going to weld some tube over my exsisting tips to lengthen them.
I do think that maybe they went a little too far out though![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Here is what my car looks like at the moment

Looks pretty stupid to me. With stock exhaust tip length the car won't catch fire from flames shooting out .. but the bumper will get black with soot - that's to be expected ;^)

Yup those tips looks ghey! What happened to classy?
As for shooting flames, I gurantee you will not burn the car down, so do not worry, but as Flach noted the bumper will get sooty..thats it. This is my former car that would shoot easily two foot flames...easily and the bumper never got dmaged just soot covered and was easy to clean with Simple Green and polish, it would down right scare other motorists:

Thankyou Geoffrey & Sameer.
I did think mine are too short. I will weld some longer tube over them.
My rears are 285's. They could have gone bigger with the wheels though as the wheels were custom made. I think the tyres match the wheels well though. There is some room on the inside.

It is my opinion that you will cook the bumper with the short tail pipes. Besides liking to do some things differently, I turned my tip down to avoid blackening the bumper with the exhaust. Inside the bumper, I added a sheet of ss to deflect heat away. Works well and looks different...
