Default Hydra boost pump

I need the advise from you guys out there.

Now long does the red light (brake boost) on your dash stay on when you start your car in the morning?

Do you ever get the beeper to go off?

Thanks........

Michael

I've only had the beeper go off once after I dis- & re-connected the battery. Very anoying noise...Normally the brake light goes out right after starting, if I've not driven it for a week maybe max 10 secs...
cheers, Paul

I had the beeper go off a few times at startup when the brake fluid level was just around min.
Had a leak in the clutch hose once which made the beeper go off for 10 seconds or so at startup.

If your brake/clutch system is in good order the beeper shouldn't go off.

Mine will beep occasionally when there is some air in the system. The last time I bled the brakes, it went off, after which I pumped the pedal a few times and hasn't been back since.

Ok guys, here's the update. I took my car to Holbert's to have them look at it. It appears that accumulator is bad.

Two years ago I had taken the car to Don Rosen’s to have them replace a bad hydra boost pump and the accumulator. Well, apparently they didn't replace the accumulator then and now it's gone bad. I spent the morning on the phone with the service manager at Don Rosen’s and then the GM, let's just say that they don't have a clue when it comes to customer service........ Its amazing how long it takes to build up trust and how quickly they can throw it away.

Peace,
Michael

Wow!
I have ordered pressure accumulator & pressure switch. It was about 220euro(280$).
Im am not sure that this will solve my problem of leaking pump ( between pressure switch and pump ). I thought that maybe membrane in the pressure accumulator is worn . Bad membrane can cause very high brake oil pressure, so I thought that this could cause hydroboost pump to leak.
Now I am waiting my pressure accumulator to see if this is going to solve problem.
