so its a C4 wide body converted to a 2wd with a turbo engine put inplace and they are not sure of the true millage.
well i guess that will be reflected in the price then, most people will go off it for the above reasons, its been on sale before i think. it has some nice extras turbo S wing, and 993 door handles which look good. however its not an original turbo which is all weird why they would do that in the first place?

I think you are better off buying a real turbo, rather than a transplant.

This car has been for sale for over a year now. I would look very closely at it before making the move. This company takes damaged cars and converts them into something. Some better than others but you may find it hard to sell later. You may be better off getting a 91-92 turbo it will hold its value better and may be a better car.

But you may be buying/trading for a world of trouble. You absolutely must find out why this car has all these changes. I would be surprised if this was not a salvage car. In some states it is possible to take a salvaged car, repair it and retitle it with no indication of it prior life. The low miles and non-functioning speedo are probably the best indication that something is amiss - it relieves the dealer of any accusation of deception or misrepresentation.

I may be wrong, but I am by nature, suspicious of vehicles that have non-original engines and transmissions and non-functioning speedometers.

Hey I would really say leave it just beacuse the alarm bells have rung..... yes you might be getting a good px on yours but theres no such thing as a free lunch and these guys need to make money and hence be in a better postion than you after it! whatever the amount youll save you might run into problems later on which will wipe out any savings you had and then youll be left with a car you cant sell that easy.
