If there are no restrictions on everything else what would a stock 3.6T engine be able to cop with before you start upgrading valve springs, head bolts , crank etc...? and what would need to be upgraded first to move on the next step?
Someone just told me the 3.3 engine is stronger as well.....
cheers

Ok cool, the valves and springs are easyenough to do as its the head but with the conrods you would have to go futher into the engine.
what can my enigne handle now though- i thought 550 max would be safe. I am looking into this efi which should in theory get me 500, then on from there it looks like slippery slope..... the good thing with going EFI is that you can tune it yourself- if you bought a 993TT you would have to chip it or goto another ecu anyway.

Miles,
It takes a lot of experiece before you can start tuning it yourself. I wish I could. 550bhp no problm at all for our blocks. Off course it would be better to upgrade the conrods. Lets see what others have to say abt this.
