This car has been for sale for several years now. The owner advertised on the PCA Mart but had no luck. It appears someone has purchased the car and is trying to sell it again.

Are there any 'stories' about this car? I'm eye-balling it.

To be honest I never really looked into it, just saw it advertised while searching. He was asking something like $70k 2 years ago and I was interested in a stock 3.6T for a lot less. I had not heard anything negative. It looks like a very nice highly modified car. The problem with highly modified cars is that everyone wants one but ususally one they modified themselves or for half the cost of the vehicles value.

I think this is an issue of a highly modified car and people just stayed away because they don't know enough about what was done. If the price is right she may be a real wolf in sheeps clothing. Turbos aren't for everyone and a 600+ hp turbo is not for the faint of heart.

Good luck in you quest let us know what you find out.

nota_troll,

If you look into this car check to see if it has been repainted. The vin sticker on the rear bumper is missing so odds are that it has been repainted or replaced. It does not mean that anything else was but check for the vin stickers on the different body panels. There will be one on the inside of the hood in each door jam and several others hidden throughout the car. If these are missing there is a good chance the car has been repainted for one reason or another.

Too bad no supple leather or sport seats though. Otherwise she looks very clean.

Good Luck

yea, great looking car but as cobalt mentioned the problem with highly modified cars is where to go when something goes wrong. whoever the buyer shall be needs to collect as much information he/she needs ( i.e. records, receipts, photos of before and after mods if available ). one probably could not build this car for the asking price.

good luck to those looking into the purchase of this vehicle

Rey, other than the stock exhaust tips, id swear it was your car from the outside.

By the way it was nice seeing you and your black beast uh beauty this weekend. Sorry I didn't feel better, I would have loved to talk a bit more but could barely function. It was a good thing I left when I did.

What's with the upgrade/downgrade to 3.2 motronic and 3.2 intake. Are the intake runners larger or do they provide better flow, or both?

Its a way to fit injectors to run off the motronic. I haven't opened the ebay add, but ditching CIS is nice (as long as you don't want to enter stock racing classes...)

Anthony I hope your feeling better. My brother and I talked about your car all the way home. That thing is gorgeous. That car is a true keeper.

Hope to see you/it soon.

This is a car that needs a PPI by someone knowledgeable about the EFI conversion. I am not saying there is anything wrong with the choices made, I would want someone to look at it that knows how the individual components work together.

Nice looking car. I was interested in the way they adapted the Motronic as I'm converting couple of cars myself. It appears that the 3.2L Motronic was not used, as it does not work with a 60-2 trigger wheel. It appears that an aftermarket system was used, which required the 60-2.
Few items I noticed:
- No O2 sensor used! This is an issue especially with turbocharged engine. A Wideband sensor should be used to monitor AFR and to provide feedback to the ECU.
- The intercooler ducting to mate it to the 3.2L intake is not efficient. Way too many bends.
