Hi all, I am interested in restoring this wrecked Porsche 964 Turbo but the asking price of $25,000 seems off by almost a factor of five to me.
The car can be seen as the second car on the following web site:

I would pay $4000-%5000 for the car.
What do you think it's worth?
Robert

'89s are still 930s. $25k is way too high. You'd need to estimate the costs to repair, and then work backwards. The issue may be that the car is worth more as parts. Engine is probably $7-8k, Trans maybe $2k, and brakes $2k...and that's just the easy stuff. To fix it, you are probably looking at $15k+ to have a pro do it. Net-net, I would guess it's worth $12-15k as is (assuming the engine is good).

i think colin hit the nail on the head. its really worth parts only! even if you got it all uptogther again the resell value will still be worth less and youll have gremlins and all sorts

Do 930 engines sell often, or is it more of a long shot?
