All I see is she is staking her claim on that red beauty. She can't wait to take it for a spin.

Very nice and Lots of Luck. Please, you must let us know what Dan has done to the car. I am sure it is more than a little tweaked, and not a trick has been overlooked. Especially if he is worried about you loosing your license. Nice wheels. We are waiting for the full list of goodies when you get the chance.

I drove about 100 miles on Sat/Sun, and no tickets (yet ). All I know is that it is a freaking monster once on boost. It's really too fast even to drive even 50% "at speed" on the street. When the boost comes on, it feels like Rosanne Barr is sitting on your chest (and despiet the horrid mental image of that, it's a good thing). You can't really even get to redline in 3rd, as by then you're going way to fast for street use. I was able to take a couple of off-ramps that I know well, and it is going to be really fun at the track (granted, I was going like 50%, since it was cold, I was on MPSCs, and I don't really know the car yet...but it was still fun!).

The sound the car makes is otherworldly. It's like an angry mob of hornets that is getting closer as the boost builds...it just sounds mean. I've always loved the sound of the NA flat 6, but this is so much better. I can't believe I spent all those years dicking around with other cars. From now on, it's all about the turbos.

Ok, here's what I can remember:
Rebuilt stock engine (new bearings, valves, rings, rod bolts, seals, etc.)
Rebuilt trans
GHL Headers
Some kind of muffler (can't remember what brand)
RSR suspension with full monoball (800#f and 900#r)
Big honking swaybars
Safty Devices bolt in cage w/seat brace
Recaro SPG seats
BBS forged mag wheel (these are really nice)
2nd oil cooler
FG front bumper with the cool bottom lip thingy
Momo steering wheel (which my wife made me take out until next track season)
2nd set of 17" wheels
3rd set of wheels -- 18" hollow spoke Turbo Twists (no in the possesion of DrJ)
1.0 bar boost spring (which I had Dan add...gotta keep ahead of DrJupeman!)

The most amazing thing is how it handles on the street. I've driven quite a few track cars on the street, and every one was basically undriveable. I can't explain it, but this car is remarkable docile on the street. I'm sure if you hit a mother pothole that you'd feel it, but for normal road conditions, it feels little different than my Boxster w/ the M030 suspension did. Dan explained that is basically has to do with getting the right shock/spring combo for the characterics and weight of the car. All I know is if you are thinking of modding your suspension, talk to Dan, 'cause this thing defies physics. I am really looking to driving it on the track!

To "keep ahead" of me, wouldn't you have had to be ahead in the first place?

Rick, Pesky and I were going to take our cars somewhere (we talked about going to you!) for side by side dyno tests. We'll figure out when we are both free and give you a call. Maybe I can convince him to split the cost of my dyno run since his is free...

Are you open for dyno runs on Saturdays? (we both work out of town during the week and would like to be there for the tests)
