I am the lucky recipient of one of those out of the blue "You like Porsches....right?" calls from a friend who just acquired a 1991 964 Turbo looking to pass it on. Soooooo, I own a magical 965 which I never thought was in the cards given the market. A ding on the carfax and the friend connection made it possible financially so today I begin the journey of turning this into the best daily driver of all time! My DD Aston Martin V8V will be getting the boot and this will be taking its place alongside my Frankenstein 1973 RSR.
Car is a 60K Mile Black on Tan with a B&B and Fabspeed Headers with a great PPI. Still has the SUV stock suspension that will be the first thing on my list (PSS10s) to tackle then making the AC, I live in Charleston, SC, able to keep me from melting in the humid summers here. I will likely put the car on a diet as well and just over maintenance it so it can be ole reliable.
Guys, since I do most of my own work, I am going to need lots of help. Get used to many dumb questions coming your way.
Congrats and welcome. I’m only a few ‘dumb questions’ ahead of you. I’ve already learned lots in the few months of being here and the help is awesome. But i bet you’ll catch on quickly since you’ve already got a Porsche.
Congrats. I’ll chime in occasionally.
im building a 965 from ground up.
Have some parts for sale.
Mine saw track time then sat outside for 20 years so she’s getting rebodied. I have found that everything requires replacement at this age. A couple critical parts are not made anymore. I’m still trying to sell my factory exhaust if interested.
