Default (Front) Engine Oil Cooler to the Body Mounting Information Needed

I am in the process of reassembling my car. I have gone from 14 piles of parts occupying almost 1,800 square foot of my shop space down to 5 piles.

It has taken ~2 years and now I cannot remember how to reassemble a few items, and in this case how the Front oil cooler attaches back to the body. Can someone post a picture please?

I see the 3 holes on my oil cooler assembly and the 3 studs on the body. Are there isolators in between, hard nutted, etc. TIA.

Recently installed a couple of these the three lower holes are secured by 13 mm nuts and washers only the top most threaded hole goes to an L shaped bracket that is then suspended from the bottom of the light bucket (fender) with an isolating rubber piece with threaded rod ends..

Thank you! Your post was very helpful and jogged my memory! I attached the "base" to the 3 body studs with new hardware, and mounted to the top of the oil cooler with a new rubber isolator! All done, looking nice and new...tomorrow to the oil lines.

Default Oil Lines Part II

OK...RL team...one more...

I have the front oil cooler perfectly mounted. Thank you!

Now I have new oil lines going back to the new thermostat housing. I yellow zinc plated the clamp that hold the oil lines to the body, but I cannot remember if there are any rubber gaskets that isolate the hardline from the yellow zinc clamp? And what is the correct fastener to attach to the body.

My manual does not have this kind of detail. I appreciate some input/drawing/part number.

TIA.

Ok had to source some of this stuff as well if I can find the part number I'll share it this calls for a sheet metal screw to attach the double pipe holder the pipe needs a rubber buffer that kind of wraps around the pipe then allows the pipe to be suspended off the chassis rocker by that gasket rubber , I've used cut inner tube in the past since the factory piece is probably five or ten dollars LOL ..Bert

^ Thank you...I can use the P/N on the rubber part please, I don't find it anywhere.

I recall pulling something off and then tossing it, etc. I am reassembling 3 cars at once and they all have similar but different oil lines/coolers/etc. and I want to make sure I get this correct.

In case that someone in the future looks at this thread; the correct part number for the "oil line rubber mount" is 930-207-265-01

I think the mount your referring to is farther forward and closer to the A pillar , the mount you showed is 964 207 303 and the rubber buffer for that is 964 207 302 .
the tin screw number is 900 187 015 02
i found these reference numbers in Nemiga parts catalog

Thank you! I confused some of this stuff, but I figured everything out, and will post pictures w/ part numbers when I get all my parts lined up.

Now I am trying to remember the best way to route the hose that runs from thermostat housing, under the oil tank and inside the right fender back to the engine! Lots of routing choices.

It sits between the body and the oil tank; kind of wedged into that small space.

Thanks Paul. To clarify the (fat) hose from thermostat housing to the engine needs to be tucked in behind the oil tank and sandwiched with the wheel well?

I had the oil tank off to clean the space behind and to do a once over the hoses/clamps/etc. I put the tank back in since I did not think that I needed to tuck it in. I guess I have to remove it again?
18 mo. gap is not helping me remember proper routing & clipping of oil lines.

When I replaced my oil line I didn't need to remove the oil tank.
I had to thread the oil line behind the upper oil tank mount to meet up with the thermostat.
Wicks replaced his recently and posted a picture. See post #49 https://rennlist.com/forums/964-turb...ce-with-4.html

Thank you, Paul and Wicks! This is easy now! It is sandwiched here between the tank and wheelwell and not further fore, so I don't have to remove the oil tank again!
