Clutch Slave - bleed but no leak
#16
The MPL as installed wouldn't extend far enough to allow the pressure plate to fully disengage. I had a horrible dragging sound with the clutch pushed in.
If it was biased to the retracted position it would be a simple matter to make a spacer for the slave but that isn't the case
There's an urban legend that a 996 Turbo GT2 slave and a spacer would work but I bought one to study and it has even less stroke.

It is resolved.
I removed the pedal assembly and cleaned up. Replaced Master. Replaced Slave. Replaced the flex line with a braided line from FVD. Bled. All is good - but don't know what actually fixed it lol. But I'm ok with that. I have Sachs Sport clutch I think.
On another note - another local 964T had an engine rebuild and used that MPL slave - it works great on his car.
