Default Blaupunkt Casablanca 2012

I was searching the Blaupunkt website and came across this:

I currently have RS door cards with speakers in them, but I have always liked the idea of removing all of the speakers from my 964. For those who would like to remove speakers and don't care much about audio quality, but want a basic radio in the car, this could be a good solution.

Plus, it looks like it would be a nice look in the 964 dash. If anyone ends up trying it out, please post pictures and impressions.

I've pulled all the speakers out of my car and done the radio delete plate. That said, going on a road trip with the wife in two weeks and she's thinking about bringing our Beoplay12 for audiobooks and the like. This could be a good compromise.

I did a quick check and it seems its only available in Europe? I could have it shipped here for a total of $150 or so.

Yeah, this does appear to be the case.

I see a few listed on ebay and Amazon UK, coming out of either Germany and Italy.

The EU ones work fine in the US for FM, but not the other way around.

I'm not sure if both specs start at the same frequency and end at the same frequency, but the EU one can tune into every frequency behind the decimal, wheras the US spec one only does odds (or evens... can't recall which ine of the two).
