Final installment. The amount of work involved is insane. Any idea how much a paint job like this costs? Also, is there a shop in SoCal that provides this level of detail?

Watching the level of detail that went into that paint job was a treat. You rarely see that type of work in "normal" body shops and it helps explain why costs and results can be dramatically different.
I was cracking up with the interior cleaning and I would be doing exactly the same thing! Whenever I have my car worked on and its disassembled I am always there to wipe down the normally inaccessible areas. I call it Obsessive Compulsive Detailing!

Cool video, I bought a 964 recently from a fellow a Rennlister and I'm trying to decide what level of body restoration I should undertake. It's easy to go down the rabbit hole and turn what was planned to be a mild makeover and wrap to now considering a similar complete tear down and paint.

Larry seems to be at a interest point in his project... A track focused, daily driven C4, with no AC or HVAC.
And then he mentions getting older and having a kid. Next steps will be interesting.

Heat and A.C. are a must in the Chicago area. Season is shortened considerably by the obvious cold but its even worse during super humid conditions in the summer. If only a tack car, cool suit should suffice.
