Default Electrocooler A/C kit for 911

(no affiliation) Love seeing new parts/systems being developed for these cars. What do you think?

Might be interesting if you have problems with your current system...
Less drag on the engine (>1 hp), less weight (30 lbs) and also cleans up the engine bay.

I hear they are working on a system for the 964.

his is a complete HVAC system redesign for air cooled 911s.

All Electric. All modern components
Weighs around 30 lbs (14 kg)
Fits in front luggage bay
Lightweight narrow hose set weighing under 4lbs (1.5kg).
Easy Install. Non-damaging bolt-in installation.
Clutter Free. Uses the standard fresh air vents to deliver cool air.
Simple to Use. Control by a single ‘smart button’.
Modern double cage blower.
Energy Efficient. Uses less than 1 HP of engine power.
Kits available to fit 911s from 1965 to 1989 (please check for fitment before purchase).

Other vehicle kits in development. We love hot rods too! Contact us!

Looks like a great system. I hope they develop a model specific one for our cars.

I contacted Jonny at Classic Retrofit when this system was still being bench tested as I thought it had a a lot of potential for weight saving on a lightweight super car project I was working on.

In very little time he had it fitted to his SC and brought it over for us to see it working. It is a very impressive system, cools as efficiently as any modern AC system and a very discrete, sympathetic fitment too.

I'm sure it could be easily adapted for a Porsche 964 but I'd imagine he has a long list of cars in need of it so I'd suggest you email him directly as the more people ask for it the quicker there will be a 964 fitment option.

Interesting. Our blower unit is pretty okay, but ditching the heavy compressor for their electric one, mounted in the frunk, and taking a few feet out of the hoses has a nice sound to it. I think that our compressor is around 20lbs hanging off the back of the motor.

Couple of 964 prototypes currently being built - you need to like them on facebook to get progress updates. I'd definitely buy one once it's available.

Honestly, parts & labor to repair a non-functional 964 air conditioning system to original "cooling" capabilities can quickly become 3k +

This...

Ask me how I know

This looks like a great, modern fix for our cars. When mine goes again, and it will, I'd love to replace it with a system like this.
