My 1st 964 was a Tip, and so was my '00 Boxster. The difference between those transmissions was huge, and in comparision the '90 was like a nice automatic that you could shift vrs a sports car transmssion that you didn't have to clutch.

This is my first manual transmission car in many years, but this has a brand new clutch and it shifts great.

Have you tried a PDK? If you enjoyed the tip the PDK is a huge advancement in comparison. Its a wonderful transmission. We have it on our 981S and really like it.
