Awesome video. Great to see we are neighbors. Perhaps we can connect on a weekend. I'll buy your beer and you can teach me a thing or two.

It looks like you inserted head studs before doing the perimeter nuts etc while closing the case. I barely made the 45 minute mark even with just the through bolts and perimeter nuts, or is there a sequence jump.

BTW: If one of you graphic designers in this forum came up with a DIY 911 engine rebuild decal I'd buy it, when I'd finished and qualified for it. The sobering part is that your video suggests that I'm only 10% along the way

Ronone10, for sure we should hook up if you're around I always enjoy seeing other 964s and meet their owners. I'll provide the beer bro.

I barely made the 45 minutes mark too. It was the most stressful part of the build. Damn just thinking about it stresses me out.

Btw what If anything did you use to assist the cylinder base o rings? I've seen Curil T, Threebond 1211 and nothing used so far.

John, I used Cyril T to help with the o-rings.

Thanks. I'm doing the cylinders this week and Curil T makes the most sense as it's non hardening.

Btw I read you are almost past the break in period. I have 15 litres of running in oil ready for mine. How many changes have you done so far and how many more before you are in a normal sync? I'm mostly concerned about the residual oil in the system both during and after running in i.e. I don't want synthetic in there for the running in period or non detergent after it. I figure each oil change ends up in a ~ 70/30 new old mix. I may change my running in oil after the 20 minute run at 2,500 rpm to end up with 90% running in oil.

I changed the oil in the first 20 minutes after starting engine. Then drove the car for a few hundred miles changed oil again. Then at 1000 miles I did valve adjustment and final break-in oil change. I'm running Mobil 1 0-40 synthetic now.

Great video...this may just inspire me to do the same. I'm going to review your jack stand dismount again as I'm not quite sure I understood everything that went on there.
